RESEARCH

Cryptography is no longer just about keeping communications and stored data secret. It is now advancing toward powerful new features, like making it possible to perform calculations on data without ever exposing it. In our lab, we explore these ideas to create technologies that can make the future information society safer and richer for everyone.

We are mainly engaged in (and interested in) research related to the following keywords, which are based on public-key cryptographic techniques.

  • Public Key Encryption
  • Multiparty Computation (MPC)
    • Secret-Sharing-based MPC (example)
    • Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)
    • Garbled Circuit
  • Lattice-based Cryptography and Post-Quantum Cryptographic Primities
  • Overcoming Impossibilities Results Using Blockchains
  • Attribute-based Encryption
  • Functional Encryption
  • Verifiable Computation
  • Obfuscation and Secure Outsourcing of Computation
  • Cryptographic Protocols using Quantum Computers
  • Zero-knowledge Proofs and its Applications to Blockchain
